3 Tips to Care for and Store Your Handmade Soap

If you want to make the most out of your handmade soap, there are just a few things you can do to make it last longer. Handmade soap has many benefits. All-natural, free of preservatives and paraben free, infused with natural glycerin. These advantages are great, but they make soap bars susceptible to damage if not taken care of.

1. Store your soap in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Moisture is a handmade soaps worst enemy.

2. Keep your soap dry between uses. Don’t let your soap sit on the floor of the tub or shower. Do not let the soap sit in the direct stream of the shower. Keeping your soap dry between uses will ensure that you do not have a soft, mushy bar that and not shorten the bar's life.

3. Make sure you use a soap dish. Your soap should be elevated and not sitting on a flat surface. Allow air to move around and below the soap to allow it to dry between uses.
